Shiloh Legacy Museum in Springdale 2019

ON our last day in Springdale, Willians and the boys went to visit the Shiloh
It focuses on the history of the region, especially on the American Civil War. There were many important battles during the war which happened right there in the region.

Timothy said, "it was really interesting how they had lots of old houses out the front that you could go inside of them, and how the barn had real live cat living at the museum. They showed what it was like inside the houses, the gardens outside, as well as the ways of living of the people many years ago.  I would like to go there again!!"

There was a special exhibition about the importance of music for the people of Arkansas, including a section of home made guitars. Timothy enjoyed playing one of these original guitars.

There was also a little jigsaw puzzle/ random pieces of wood that were cut up and you could stack them up on top of each other to make a log cabin about the size of a laptop.

They successfully built the log cabin.

Other fun times in Springdale:

Bike riding in the park with David Cohen and Santiago...

A Visit to Harrys and Rebecca Rodriguez's home in the countryside just out of Springdale.

One happy little girl holding a hen.

At the end of the chicken coop, was the rabbit hutch :)

Where this mamma rabbit had given birth just that morning to 7 baby rabbits!!
Very interestingly enough, the day before the mamma rabbit, pulled her hair/fur out to fill the wooden box with her hair/fur. Later, after giving birth, that same fur would provide warmth for the baby rabbits while they grew their own fur.

spot the rabbits...

Rebecca kindly held a baby rabbit (only a few hours old) for us to see :)

And so ended a beautiful visit to Springdale Ak.
