a sweet treat ... a small packet of M&M's
Villa del Rosario, where the assembly is..
one day, the adult daughter of an aged couple from the assembly in Villa del Rosario ... passed away suddenly from a heart attack. She was the one who provided for her parents as well as for her 6 yr old son.
The funeral service/message was held in the lounge room of their home, as is custom in Colombia,
We sang hymns and many Sunday School hymns and choruses. Brother Antonio Marquez, gave a very touching message in John chapter 14. He spoke especially to and for the little boy who had just lost his mum.
If you read this, please do remember Maria and her husband in prayer as they are left without any source of income, and with a 6 yr old grandson to raise.
the cars in the funeral procession ... in front of the cars and behind the funeral car, there was a huge group of maybe 50 or 80 people (neighbours, friends, acquaintances) who walked from the home all the way through town to the cementary.
Here in Colombia, many of the burials are made in cement blocks above the ground. The coffin is pushed into the empty space, then immediately it is cemented in with bricks.
Willians was able to preach the gospel at the cementary
Here a neighbour was writing in the fresh cement ...
During our last week in Cucuta, there was a week of gospel meetings in the suburb of Los Patios.
putting up a 2 ways 2 destinies chart before a gospel meeting.
Some family members from the house where the gospel was preached, invited us to spend a day with them on their farm about 20 km out of Cucuta.
there were lots of puppies on the farm!!!
lunch in process on the farm!
this cute little bird was hand raised ... now he just flies up and sits on your shoulder wanting to taste whatever food you are eating!! he flew from the house up to the swimming pool to keep us company.
